Open to executive heads at all member institutions.

As well as endorsing the annual accounts and financial statements, and appointing auditors for next year, this meeting will also be an opportunity to hear more about the impact of the ACU’s work, our priorities for the next year, and how your university can engage with our network on a range of themes and initiatives. 

Speakers include:

Dr Temitope Sogbanmu, Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos, Nigeria

Dr Sogbanmu is part of the ACU's Climate Research Cohort and will talk about the ACU’s role in supporting collaborative projects across the Commonwealth that deliver solutions for shared challenges. 

Dr Branson Belle, Executive Director, Centre for Excellence for Oceanography and the Blue Economy (COBE)

In 2021, The University of West Indies in partnership with the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Centre for Excellence for Oceanography and the Blue Economy (COBE). Dr Belle will talk his partnership with the ACU and his work at COBE

Dr Somayeh Fardindoost, Postdoctoral researcher, University of Victoria

ACU Fellowships facilitate the creation of new partnerships between ACU member universities across the Commonwealth through research visits for up to 6 months. Dr Fardindoost will talk about the research collaboration that she was able to establish between the University of Victoria and the University of Sydney with support from the ACU.

How to attend:

Executive heads, at all ACU member institutions, will be sent an email invitation. The meeting will be held virtually.
