This briefing from the Digital Education Council (DEC) examines two major challenges of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in universities: addressing governance issues and meeting student expectations.
We cover key concerns such as ethical standards, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks. And from the student perspective, we highlight how AI can enhance learning experiences, improve career readiness, and foster innovation. Students are increasingly expecting AI to play a role in their education, making it essential for institutions to align their AI strategies with these expectations.
By examining these interconnected issues, the webinar will offer a comprehensive roadmap for institutions. We will provide practical strategies and tools for managing AI in a way that is both responsible and aligned with student needs.
Who is this event for?
The event is open to all university members. Given that these are strategic issues, the event will also be relevant for staff at VC / DVC / PVC level as well as faculty leadership, for example: programme directors, deans, associate deans.
