Chiranthi Senanayake

Horizon Campus, Sri Lanka

Chiranthi Senanayake is an Attorney-at-Law and Lecturer in Law, who specialises in development justice and development governance in the Global South. Chiranthi will use this grant to document, study and contribute to the preservation of Adivasi (indigenous) laws and the associated justice system of Sri Lanka by creating a publicly accessible digital data repository and developing an introductory degree level teaching module.

Dr Doyne Mugambi

Kenyatta University, Kenya

Dr Doyne Mugambi is an educational psychologist with a passion for human learning and behaviour modification. As Chairperson of the Department of Educational Psychology, she is dedicated to improving educational experiences. This grant will be used to initiate a programme in conflict management, aiming to benefit her university by establishing a sustainable conflict management strategy.

Dr Joanne Rose

University of York, UK

Dr Joanne Rose and her colleagues collaborate with disaster and conflict-affected communities and local partners to understand the needs and priorities of the local communities. They draw on indigenous and traditional modes of communication and research methods to co-create context-led humanitarian interventions. They teach, train and engage in impact research in a range of fields, including non-western psycho-social responses, evaluations, education in emergencies, protection, health and WASH.

This grant will be used to set up an inter-institutional learning toolkit that will help module development, humanitarian aid initiatives and teaching on disaster victims of armed conflict and climate change.
