Major General (Retd) Dr Baqai is a distinguished gynaecologist and medical educationist, and the Principal and Dean of Health Sciences. Dr Baqai has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is an accredited supervisor and examiner, known for her work in reducing maternal morbidity and mortality and establishing prenatal services in Pakistan Armed Forces hospitals.
This project aims to reduce neonatal mortality by improving the quality and scope of antenatal care (ANC), with special focus on the prevention of preterm births, through an operational research study to test the revised ANC protocols in public sector health facilities.
