As our main point of contact within our member institutions, Ambassadors play a crucial role in facilitating exchange and collaboration across the Commonwealth.
Nominating an ACU Ambassador ensures you are kept updated on the range of benefits available to you, from events and webinars to communities of practice, policy roundtables, international delegations and access to grants and awards.
To make the most of your membership, the ACU strongly encourages all member universities to provide contact details for a member of staff willing to take up a voluntary role of ACU Ambassador.
ACU Ambassadors (formerly known as ACU Champions) should have an international remit (for example: a role in the international office, or in global partnerships) at an ACU member university. Ambassadors are typically nominated by Vice-Chancellors to help facilitate stronger two-way communication between the ACU and a member university.
The Ambassador acts as the main point of contact for the ACU, to help identify internal contacts for a variety of opportunities on offer from the ACU, and to discuss a member’s priorities with the ACU for support.
Every year, the ACU organises a flagship event exclusively for our ACU Ambassadors at member universities.
In recognition of the crucial role that our Ambassadors play, we issue digital credentials that allow them to demonstrate their role and their membership of the ACU. These credentials also facilitate connection and collaboration with other Ambassadors across the Commonwealth.
To discuss the role or send in a nomination, please send an email to the ACU Membership team with the subject line ‘Ambassador nomination’ at: membership@acu.ac.uk
