Connect with ACU members around the Commonwealth in our new exclusive online members’ area – ACU Connect. 

This new invitation-only space – initially opening up for ACU Ambassadors – puts the power in your hands to connect directly with other ACU Ambassadors around the world, opening opportunities for collaboration in our network of over 400 members in more than 40 countries. 

We have developed ACU Connect to help you to make the most of your ACU membership. Achieve your institutional, and professional, goals through a range of new possibilities:

ACU Connect is only open to staff at ACU member universities, with a dedicated team of moderators on hand to help you make the most out of the platform. 

ACU Ambassadors have first access to this new benefit, and we intend to expand access to other ACU members in a phased way.

You will receive a weekly digest email with a useful round-up of content from the platform, delivered straight to your inbox. Please complete your profile so that other ACU Ambassadors can learn more about you for potential partnerships and other opportunities.

What is ACU Connect? 

ACU Connect is our new online community platform exclusively for ACU members and initially available for ACU Ambassadors. ACU Connect allows members to network and build relationships and partnerships directly with other ACU members around the Commonwealth. 

Who can join ACU Connect? 

ACU Connect is currently open to ACU Ambassadors at ACU member universities around the Commonwealth. We intend to expand access to other groups of ACU members in a phased way. 

Will I, as an ACU Ambassador, have automatic access to the platform?  

ACU Ambassadors can join the platform but must actively opt in by signing up through the joining link. The ACU will not automatically sign up ACU members to the platform. 

How do I sign up? 

Ambassadors should follow the sign-up link in the joining invitation. This email will be sent to you from the ACU Connect platform, so please keep an eye on your inbox for this. 

I have not received my email invitation to join ACU Connect. What should I do? 

Your email invitation to join ACU Connect will come from the email no-reply@circle.so. Please check your email spam filters and other inboxes to see if it has arrived. If you do not receive the welcome email, please contact the membership team.

Can I post on ACU Connect? 

Yes, we encourage you to post and reply  – in short, actively engage with other ACU Ambassadors on the platform. You will also be able to send and receive direct messages with contacts. Anything that you post should meet the requirements of our ACU Connect code of conduct and user guidelines. 

We also have a dedicated team of community moderators on the platform who are available to help with any problems that you might have! 

Can I speak to ACU members of staff on the platform? 

Yes. ACU members of staff can be identified through a yellow icon next to their name. Moderators of spaces carry a black icon with the letter ‘M’. 

Can I be identified as an ACU Ambassador? 

Yes. As an Ambassador you will have a blue icon with the letter ‘A’ next to your name so other Ambassadors can identify you. We also encourage you to complete your profile with your professional interests, specialism, and what you might be interested to connect over with other Ambassadors.  

What are the benefits of ACU Connect?  

ACU Connect will allow you to connect directly with other ACU Ambassadors around the world, opening opportunities for collaboration in our network of over 400 members in more than 40 countries.

ACU Connect is an invitation-only space, open only to ACU members. 

Are there any fees to pay to join the platform? 

There is no additional cost to join ACU Connect. If your university is an ACU member, the platform is a new member benefit and included as part of the annual membership fee paid by your university.  

How do I create a profile for myself in the platform?  

Once you have joined ACU Connect via the invitation email, you can click on the account area in the top right corner of the platform. A drop-down menu will appear with the option to “edit profile”. Click on this to add details about yourself, and to add a photograph if you wish. 

I am a student at a member university, can I join ACU Connect?  

ACU Connect is a platform for staff members at ACU member universities only to network and share good practice in their areas of work.
