Taking place roughly every three years since 1959, the Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (CCEM) is the most important forum for the Commonwealth education and learning agenda and its relationship with other sustainable development priorities. It is the Commonwealth Secretariat’s second-largest meeting, after the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The 21st conference takes place in Nairobi on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 April 2022. The ACU is attending to represent the Commonwealth and global higher education stakeholders.
The theme of the conference is rethinking education for innovation, growth and sustainability post-Covid-19. Following consultation with our 500+ members, the ACU are highlighting a series of recommendations and priorities at 21CCEM. These are designed to strengthen the contribution universities can make to sustainable development and the post-pandemic recovery. You can also read our 21CCEM full policy briefs below.
The ACU will also present on the progress of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP).
